  10. The Quark HTML Text Export for QuarkXPress™ 4.03 and QuarkXPress Passport™ 4.03 is QuarkXTensions™ software that allows you to export a story or selected range of text as HTML formatted text.

  23. QuarkXPress 4.03 or QuarkXPress Passport 4.03

  25. It is recommended that you have a web browser that supports HTML 3.2 or above, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 or greater and/or Netscape 3.0 or greater.

  27. Installing the Quark HTML Text Export XTension
  28.  
  29. For Windows 95/NT and Mac OS:
  30.  
  31. 1.  Exit QuarkXPress.
  32.  
  33. 2.  Copy the Quark HTML Text Export XTension file to the XTension folder within your QuarkXPress application folder.

  35. 3.  Launch QuarkXPress to access the features of Quark HTML Text Export.

  38. Feature Usage

  40. The following steps describe how to save a story or selected range of text in HTML format:

  42. 1. Select the story or range of text that you wish to export.
  43.  
  44. 2. Go to the Save Text dialog box (File -> Save Text). 
  45.  
  46. 3. In the Format menu (Save as Type menu for Windows), select HTML.
  47.  
  48. 4. Name the file and locate where you want the file saved, then click Save.
  49.  
  50. 5. View the HTML formatted text using Internet Explorer 3.0 or greater or Netscape 3.0 or greater.

  52. HTML Export Preferences

  54. To view/change your Quark HTML Text Export export preferences:

  56. 1.  Choose Edit -> Preferences -> HTML Text Export to display the HTML Text Export Preferences dialog box.

  58. Here you can create the font size relationships that will be used when the text is exported. The two columns in the table represent the size ranges of the text to be exported and the corresponding HTML 3.2 text attribute to be applied for those ranges. You can create new relationships with the New button, delete existing relationships with the Delete button, and restore the defaults with the Revert button. You can also enable/disable the exporting of font and color information.
